JERUSALEM (JTA) — A military court in Lebanon sentenced a man to life in prison for collaborating with Israel.
Faisal Ghazi was sentenced Friday to life in prison with hard labor for allegedly spying for Israel, passing information on Hezbollah to Israeli agents and helping Israeli agents enter Lebanon by sea, Lebanon’s Daily Star reported.
Dozens of Lebanese citizens, including military officials, and some Palestinians in recent months have been arrested in Lebanon under suspicion of collaboration with Israel.
