JERUSALEM (JTA) — Tony Blair said Israel is not getting enough credit for easing restrictions on Palestinians in the West Bank.
Blair, the Mideast Quartet envoy, met Monday with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Deputy Prime Minister Silvan Shalom.
The Israelis told Blair and his team that Israel could further improve the economic situation of the Palestinian residents in the West Bank with greater cooperation from the Palestinian side.
Both sides raised additional ideas for improving the Palestinian West Bank’s economic situation.
