JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and opposition leader Tzipi Livni met to discuss security issues.

Monday’s 45-minute meeting, one of the regularly scheduled meetings between the head of the government and the opposition leader mandated by law, did not include political discussion, Ha’aretz reported.

Though the meetings are supposed to occur monthly, the last Netanyahu-Livni meeting took place in late April. Netanyahu canceled a meeting last month over fears that he had been exposed to swine flu. He canceled all his meetings that day.
