JERUSALEM (JTA) — An Israeli television star admitted to ordering attacks on local TV executives.
Dudu Topaz, an Israeli talk show and game show host and star of variety and satire shows, allegedly ordered the beatings of two Channel 2 Keshet franchise television executives who rejected his ideas for new shows, as well as a top talent agent.
During an interrogation Tuesday, Topaz reportedly confessed to planning the attacks. Three accomplices also were arrested this week.
On Monday, the day after his arrest, Topaz was ordered held for eight days.
Topaz could be indicted June 9 during a remand hearing, according to reports.
