NEW YORK (JTA) — Four Brooklyn yeshivas have closed temporarily due to the swine flu.

The schools, in the greater Flatbush area, will remain closed this week and reopen after the Shavuot holiday, according to reports.

Magen David Yeshiva, Yeshiva Tiferes Yisroel, Masores Bais Yaakov and Yeshiva Shaarei Torah decided over the weekend to shut down after discovering that their high absentee rates were due to students with probable or confirmed swine flu cases, The New York Times reported.
