(JTA) — A notorious anti-Semitic forgery was found in the hotel room of the man accused of killing a Jewish Wesleyan University student.

"The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" was found in the hotel room that accused killer Stephen Morgan rented the night before he allegedly murdered Johanna Justin-Jinich on May 6 at the bookstore where she worked.

Newly released court records show the book, cited as fact by anti-Semites and neo-Nazis but long discredited as a hoax, was found in Morgan’s hotel room. The records also detail anti-Semitic writings Morgan recorded in a journal and on his computer.

One statement, similar to others made public earlier this month, reads: "I have to kill Jenn. I think it’s OK to kill Jenn and kill the Jews at this school… The want and need to kill Jenn and the Jews is there."
