WASHINGTON (JTA) — Egyptian authorities uncovered an arms cache with hundreds of rockets along its border with Israel.
Ha’aretz on Friday quoted Al Quds al Arabiyeh, a London-based Arabic-language newspaper as reporting that close to 300 rockets and at least three anti-aircraft missiles were uncovered along the border. No arrests have been made.
Ha’aretz cited recent reports of efforts by Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed Lebanese terrorist group, to smuggled weapons into the Gaza Strip, the territory bordering Israel and Egypt and controlled by Hamas.
