JERUSALEM (JTA) — The Palestinian who killed an Israeli boy with an axe was arrested.
Israel’s Shin Bet security service arrested Musa Tiet nearly two weeks ago on April 14. The news of arrest was cleared for publication Sunday.
Tiet reportedly confessed to the April 2 attack in the West Bank settlement of Bat Ayin, which he said he carried out independently and not at the behest of any terrorist organization.
Tiet killed Shlomo Nativ, 13, and injured another boy, 7, during a rampage in the community, located near the assailant’s home village.
Tiet told the Shin Bet and recorded in his will that he wanted to die as a martyr.
