JERUSALEM (JTA) — Armed gunmen seized a Jordanian aid convoy after it entered Gaza.
The convoy was scheduled to travel to United Nations Relief and Works Agency warehouses on Tuesday and later distribute the aid to Palestinian civilians, according to the Jordan News Agency. The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization donated the aid.
The gunmen fired at the drivers after they crossed into Gaza and forced them to their own warehouses, according to the report.
The UNRWA canceled aid convoys scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday until the stolen convoy issue is settled.
