Georgians who were severely injured in the recent conflict with Russia arrived in Israel for medical treatment.
Some 17 Georgian citizens landed in Israel Tuesday night and were transported to six hospitals located throughout the country, Ynet reported.
The cost of treating the patients is being funded by the hospitals and by Magen David Adom as part of its humanitarian aid offered to Georgia. The effort was coordinated by the Georgia-Israel Chamber of Commerce.
