Hezbollah operatives have reportedly surveilled Jewish and Israeli sites in Canada for possible attack.
Citing British, U.S. and Canadian intelligence reports, ABC News on Thursday said that Hezbollah operatives have conducted surveillance on the Israeli embassy in Ottawa and synagogues in Toronto.
Jewish organizations in the United States and Canada have been on alert since February, when a bomb blast in Syria killed Imad Mughniyeh, the Lebanese terrorist group’s operational chief.
Hezbollah blamed Israel, which denied responsibility, and warned of attacks “outside the arena,” seen to be a reference to attacks on Jewish targets overseas.
Intelligence agencies have since warned Jewish security officials of increased Hezbollah activity in North America.
