A cosmetician won Israel’s version of “Survivor.”
Neama Kesari took the 1 million shekel top prize in Saturday’s final round of “Survivor Israel,” narrowly beating out two male rivals who had long been favored in the popular call-in voting.
The top-rated Channel 10 television show ran for five months in the same format as the American original. A second season is in the works.
Kesari, 30, of Karmiel, weathered criticism for leaving her toddler son at home during the shoot on a remote Caribbean island. She also lost her father to cancer, though he made sure to send her a video message urging her not to withdraw from the contest.
