Israeli forces killed four Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Troops and tanks raided areas of northern and southern Gaza earier Wednesday in response to recent
cross-border shelling by Palestinian terrorists.
Two Palestinians, described by locals as a gunman and a civilian, were killed. There were no Israeli
casualties.
A Hamas gunman and another Palestinian also died Wednesday in an Israeli air strike in northern Gaza.
Military officials said Israeli forces targeted combatants only.
