The British parliamentary group for combatting anti-Semitism commended its government for taking action.
In a 2006 report, the All-Party Parliamentary Group against anti-Semitism had made 35 recommendations to the British government, including ways to collect more reliable data on anti-Semitic incidents in the country, and increasing funding for anti-Semitism research and the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust.
A first report on the government’s progress in implementing the recommendations was presented Tuesday at the House of Commons by the Minister for Community Cohesion Parmjit Dhanda.
Commenting on the report, the chair of the parliamentary group, lawmaker John Mann, said he was “delighted to see real progress has been made in the last 12 months.”
