Palestinians will only “liberate” themselves through violence, a message attributed to Osama bin Laden said.
Al-Jazeera television played a recording Thursday believed to be by the fugitive al-Qaida leader in which he says an Israeli-led embargo on the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip must be answered with force.
“My speech is about the Gaza siege and the way to retrieve it and the rest of Palestine from the hands of the Zionist enemy,” said bin Laden, who like all radical Islamists sees Gaza, the West Bank and the State of Israel as “occupied.”
“Our enemies did not take it by negotiations and dialogue but with fire and iron,” he said, “and this is the way to get it back.”
