A rocket fired from the Gaza Strip struck Ashkelon.
Tuesday’s attack ended four days of relative calm following the terrorist massacre at the Mercaz Harav yeshiva in Jerusalem in which eight students were killed.
The rocket landed in southern Ashkelon hours after Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert toured the city. It caused no damage or injuries.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine claimed responsibility.
