Israeli troops patrolling outside the Gaza Strip killed a Palestinian gunman.
A gunman from the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine was shot dead early Tuesday as he tried to plant a bomb on the security fence running along the Gaza-Israel border.
There were no Israeli casualties in the incident.
