A 5.3 Richter Scale earthquake shook Israel’s coastal plain.
The quake, on Friday afternoon, did not cause damage or injuries, emergency services said, although residents reported shaking.
The quake was also felt in Lebanon and Syria, where it caused some light injuries and damage.
