Israel’s Technion came 25th in an international ranking of technical colleges.
Britain’s Times newspaper this week published a table of the world’s best technical colleges, ranking the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology at 25th. Topping the list was the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Officials at Technion, which is located in Haifa, described the citation as an especially welcome vindication, given an ongoing lecturers’ pay strike which has paralyzed tertiary education in Israel.
