An Israeli Arab woman was jailed for contacts with Hezbollah.

Haifa District Court on Wednesday sentenced an Umm al-Fahm woman to three years in prison after convicting her of communicating with and abetting a hostile foreign entity.

The defendant, 24, met a Hezbollah recruiter while studying in Jordan and agreed to keep a computer disk for him in Israel. She later began a process of joining the Shi’ite Lebanese guerrilla group, but did not complete it.

Hezbollah regularly tries to recruit Israeli Arabs as intelligence sources or to help in the future execution of terrorist attacks inside the Jewish state.
