Mahmoud Abbas said the Palestinian-Israeli crisis will be solved before the end of next year.
The Palestinian president, speaking to reporters following a meeting with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, also said he believed it was important to reconcile with Hamas and that no agreed-upon peace would be successful without Hamas support.
Abbas is visiting Muslim nations in Asia in a bid to drum up support for the Palestinian negotiating stance ahead of next month’s U.S.-sponsored peace conference.
