John Hagee Ministries gave some $8.5 million to Israel-related causes at its annual “Night to Honor Israel.”
Some 6,000 people attended the 26th annual night of fund raising and displays of support for Israel at John Hagee’s Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, according to the Jerusalem Post.
Out of the $8.5 million Hagee doled out on Saturday, some $6 million went to aliyah organizations such as Nefesh B’Nefesh and Exodus II.
“Within the last 50 years, we have gathered in the Jews from the North, from the East, from the South,” Nefesh B’Nefesh spokesman and former Israeli U.S. Ambassador Danny Ayalon said at the event. “Now, with the help of our Christian allies, we are going to finish this job and bring the Jews from the West as well.”
