Israeli police completed their questioning of Ehud Olmert over bid-rigging allegations.

Police investigators spoke to the prime minister for four hours Thursday, wrapping up an interrogation that began earlier this week.

The investigation centers on allegations that Olmert, as Israeli finance minister in 2005, tried to advance the interests of a foreign investor during the privatization of Bank Leumi. The investor never bid for the bank and Olmert has denied wrongdoing in the case.

The next step in the proceedings is for the police investigators to pass their findings to Attorney-General Menachem Mazuz, who will decide whether to prosecute Olmert.
