Condolezza Rice will visit the Middle East to make plans for next month’s peace parley.
The United States Secretary of State will spend five days in Israel, the Palestinian Authority, Egypt and Jordan beginning Oct. 14 to discuss plans for the November Israeli-Palestinian peace conference, whose main objective is to create a Palestinian state.
Invitations have not yet been issued for the summit, whose date is as yet uncertain.
