Air defense systems failed to detect the Israeli non-stealth aircraft that attacked a Syrian target last month.
Israel was able to blind the Syrian radar system to the oncoming Israeli F-15 and F-16 aircraft that bombed a suspected nuclear target, Aviation Week & Space Technology reported on its website Oct. 1.
The American weekly reported that Iran is concerned about the failure of the Russian-made radar systems in place in Syria, the same systems that it has agreed to purchase for $750 million in order to protect its nuclear facilities from air attack.
