Some left-wing groups are calling for a protest against the sale of certain Israeli products at a German department store chain.

European Jews for a Just Peace and the Mideast Circle Berlin called for the action Saturday in front of the Kaufhof store in Berlin. Dozens of Kaufhof stores across Germany are featuring Israeli products Tuesday and Wednesday.

In their protest announcement, the groups claimed that products from “illegal settlements” and the Golan Heights would be sold. “We don’t want any apartheid herbs,” the announcement said.

It goes on to note that of 40 companies participating in the Israel Week special sale, at least five have a direct relation to “human-rights violating settlements in west Jordan and the Golan Heights.” The groups are demanding that Kaufhof examine the Israeli products to see which are from the regions they cited and remove them.
