Larry Ellison, his wife and U.S. Rep. Tom Lantos (D-Calif.) were taken on a tour of the poor Israeli border town Thursday to get a firsthand view of the effects of months of rocket barrages from the nearby Gaza Strip. Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni served as their guide.
Ellison, who founded Oracle in 1977 and is now a multibillionaire, pledged $500,000 to build a bomb shelter at the Sderot community center.
