Israeli troops killed a Palestinian teenager who was mistakenly identified as a gunman.
Military officials are investigating Tuesday’s fatal shooting in the West Bank city of Hebron. The slain 16-year-old boy was playing with a life-sized plastic replica of an assault rifle at the time.
Initial indications are that soldiers thought the gun was real and believed their lives were at risk.
