Ehud Olmert discussed the fate of Jonathan Pollard with President Bush. “The Pollard issue came up,” was all the Israeli prime minister would tell JTA after his meeting Tuesday with Bush. Pollard, a former U.S. Navy intelligence analyst, was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1986 for spying for Israel. Israel has pressed for his release since the late 1990s.
