The American Jewish Committee has reopened its Israel Emergency Assistance Fund to help Sderot cope with the ongoing barrage of Palestinian rocket fire. “Israelis of all ages are living under extremely difficult conditions, uncertain when and where the next rocket will land,” said AJCommittee Executive Director David Harris. “As Israel considers ways to respond to this ongoing terrorist assault, we at AJC also must find a way to respond appropriately.”The Israel Emergency Assistance Fund was established last summer to help residents of Israel’s North under fire from Hezbollah rockets. The Sderot funds will help complete construction of a resilience center for the city’s citizens.
