A Palestinian rocket salvo killed a woman in the southern Israeli town Sderot.Israel identified Shiri Feldman as the victim of the attack Monday evening in which a rocket fired from the nearby Gaza
Strip slammed into a car in the commercial center of Sderot. Feldman, who is in her 30s, suffered wounds to her limbs and stomach. She was evacuated to Barzilay Medical Center in Ashkelon where she died. Feldman is the first Israeli fatality in Sderot since November, when Yaakov Yaakobov was killed by a Kassam rocket that hit a poultry factory. In
six years of rocket barrages on Sderot and outlying towns, eight people have
been killed and scores wounded.
