Hamas defied a Palestinian Authority call to drop a television show featuring a Mickey Mouse lookalike who incites against Israel and the West.Hamas’s Al-Aqsa Television aired a new episode of “Tomorrow’s Pioneers” last Friday in which Farfur, a character resembling Walt Disney’s most famous cartoon, praised slain Palestinian terrorist leaders. One of Farfur’s co-hosts also sang a song pledging to “die for Jerusalem.”Following an international outcry over a previous episode that called for Israel to be vanquished and for establishing global Islamist supremacy, Palestinian Authority Information Minister Mustafa Barghouti demanded that Hamas shelve the show, calling the content inappropriate.Hamas, which is the dominant Palestinian Authority faction, initially agreed, but its producers at Al-Aqsa Television later said they rejected such interference in their programming.
