Gabriel Cohen, founder of the National Jewish Post & Opinion newspaper, died at age 98. The Associated Press reported that Cohen died April 19 at St. Vincent Hospital Hospice in Indianapolis.Cohen, a native of Louisville, Ky., founded the Indianapolis-based weekly newspaper in 1935. He also had a brief professional boxing career under the name Abie Levy.”He was a feisty guy,” Post freelancer Ed Stattman told the AP. “He was very decisive, very determined. He was absolutely in love with his job.”
