Argentina’s president criticized the lack of justice in the investigations into two terrorist attacks on Jewish targets in Buenos Aires. The Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires was bombed in 1992 and the AMIA Jewish community center was bombed in 1994, but the perpetrators of the deadly attacks have never been caught. “It’s terrible how justice has had a side focus for such a long time,” Nestor Kirchner said Thursday night at a Holocaust Memorial Day tribute organized by the DAIA Jewish political umbrella group. DAIA President Aldo Donzis praised Kirchner’s support for Argentine efforts to spread Holocaust awareness. Earlier Thursday, American Ambassador Earl Anthony Wayne met with DAIA leaders and stressed the importance of Holocaust education.
