European Jewish Congress representatives will meet next week with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. With Germany holding the rotating European Union presidency, EJC representatives will express concerns about the rise of anti-Semitism in Europe, as well as a German proposal to harmonize anti-racism legislation throughout the 27-country bloc. The meeting with Merkel follows a celebration in Berlin of the European Union’s 50th anniversary.
