Virginia high school students were ordered to undergo sensitivity training after taunting Jewish students at a basketball game. The Associated Press reported that Dennis Price, principal of Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School, ordered the training after a Feb. 2 game at Norfolk Academy, which has a large Jewish population. Price said the rivals exchanged chants, and “then, at some point, our students were chanting, ‘We love Jesus.’ It was obviously in reference to the Jewish population of Norfolk Academy; that’s the only way you can take that.” The Catholic school students also sprayed the word “Jew” on the bleachers. Price said he sent a letter of apology to Norfolk, has instituted permanent diversity training for his students and consulted the Anti-Defamation League, the AP reported.
