Benjamin Netanyahu called on French companies doing business in Iran to divest. Israel’s opposition leader, on a one-day visit to Paris, said Wednesday that France should follow the United States in isolating Iran economically. “Time is running out. The international community is unified in its willingness to prevent Iran from arming itself with nuclear weapon,” he said. The U.N. Security Council resolution “is a positive step forward, but one cannot talk about ruling out any military action and at the same time shy away from using financial sanctions.” France is already bound by a U.N. Security Council restricting dealings with certain Iranian companies and individuals, and banning the sale to Iran of dual-use technology.
