JERUSALEM, Dec. 30 (JTA) — Israeli officials have expressed concern about the possibility of coordinated attacks by Palestinian terrorists and Kurdish rebels against Israeli targets in Turkey. Members of the Kurdish underground and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine recently met, the Israeli daily Ha’aretz reported Monday. The contacts were with Kurdish rebels based in Syria, where the PFLP maintains its headquarters, according to Israeli experts. The experts were quoted as saying that there was no evidence to date of Kurdish involvement in any attacks against Israeli targets. The reports come amid heightened alertness among Israeli security forces against the possibility of terrorist attacks against Israeli targets abroad.
