Just a day after Donald J. Trump was elected to the Oval Office, a rash of racist, anti-semitic and homophobic incidents have already reared their ugly head.
A softball dugout in a Wellsville, New York park was vandalized with a large swastika and the words ‘Make America White Again,’ Buffalo News reported.
The same report said that on Tuesday evening, a black doll was found hung by a noose in an elevator in a Canisius College dormitory just outside Buffalo, N.Y.
In South Philadelphia swastikas, racist graffiti and references to Donald Trump and Nazi Germany was spray-painted on a storefront, the Philadelphia Enquirer reported. The words ‘TRUMP’ with the ‘T’ replaced by a large swastika, and ‘Sieg Heil 2016’ were found emblazoned on the storefront on Wednesday.

In Philadelphia, the vandalism occurred on the 78th anniversary of Kristallnacht, or the “Night Of Broken Glass” when German troops and civilians carried out a pogrom on Jews and Jewish Businesses. It's considered by historians to mark the beginning of the Holocaust.
“We are horrified by the appearance of hate graffiti on a storefront in South Philadelphia,” Nancy K. Baron-Baer, the Anti-Defamation League’s Regional Director told the paper. “Swastikas and the Nazi salute send a message of intolerance and hate to the entire community. While we view this as an isolated incident, we cannot allow this behavior to become routine. Everyone has a role to play in combating bigotry – we must advocate, educate and investigate until hate is no longer welcome in our society.”
Trump received a lot of support from white nationalists, and many of his campaign ads were called out for their racist and anti-semitic tones. Over the last two days, reports of homophobic, racist and anti-semitic incidents were streaming into the media.
A Quartz report listed incident after incident. In Durham, North Carolina “BLACK LIVES DON’T MATTER AND NEITHER DOES [sic] YOUR VOTES” was graffitied on a wall. In Rochester, NY, rainbow flags were burned. In North Carolina, homophobic signs were placed on a car.
At the University of Louisiana, the report continues, a student wearing a hijab was physically assaulted by two white men, one wearing a Trump hat, who ripped off her hijab and stole her wallet.
