New Centers Open At Methodist Hospital

A Comprehensive Back and Neck Pain Center has opened at New York Methodist Hospital. The center, which will offer diagnostic and treatment options for disorders of the spine, will emphasize such non-operative options and physical and occupational therapy, medication management, injections and bracing, as well as radiation therapy for metastatic cancer of the spine.

In other N.Y. Methodist Hospital news, its Center of Allied Health Education opened a School of Surgical Technology this month. The program, which will entail a year of coursework, will offer a certificate in surgical technology, offered in partnership with Clarion University of Pennsylvania’s Online College Programs.
The instruction, which will count toward an associate’s degree in allied health, will train people who assist surgeons during operations and other medical procedures.
