Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted a rocket over Eilat shortly before 10 p.m. Friday Israeli time, Arutz Sheva reported.
Eliat residents heard two explosions in the city shorly after the “Code Red” siren sounded across the Southern Israeli city, according to The Jerusalem Post.
No damage or injuries have been reported, the Post said.
The Iron Dome defense system was stationed near Eilat in July of 2013, according to the Post.
