Yom Hazikaron, or Israel's Remembrance Day, collectively commemorates all the men and women who lost their lives defending Israel.
It’s a day to recall and honor the memory of the 23,320 people who fell in active military duty since 1860, as well as Israel’s terror victims. Since Remembrance Day last year over 110 members of the IDF, police and security forces, and other organizations have fallen during service. In Israel a siren is sounded and ceremonies are held throughout the throughout the country every year on this day.
