With the prime wine-buying time of the year moving into full swing, The Jewish Week Media Group will host its 8th annual Grand Wine Tasting on Monday, March 28 at the City Winery, 155 Varick St. Attendees will be able to sample 250 different kosher wines from Israel, California, Spain, Italy, France and other countries around the world. In addition, those attending will be eligible to win free round-trip airfare to Israel from El Al, and enjoy cheeses from Tnuva and The Cheese Guy, desserts from Fairway markets and hummus from Abraham’s Hummos.

There are two admission pricing levels: $75 per person for “VIP/Early Access” (5-6 p.m.) admission, which entitles attendees to a smaller tasting capped at 125 guests with a premium wine selection, and then admission to the Grand Wine Tasting (6-9 p.m.); $50 general admission (6-9 p.m.).

This week The Jewish Week publishes its seventh annual Kosher Wine Guide, a 40-page section with feature and trend stories about the growing world of kosher wine, and our annual Top 18 Lists, a juried roundup of the best kosher wines in a variety of categories. Many of the “top wines” will be available to sample at the Grand Wine Tasting.
