As an observant Jew, I am troubled by the letters appearing in The Jewish Week that are critical of the paper’s coverage of Orthodox Jews.
As a faithful reader for many years, I have always found The Jewish Week’s editorials and reporting to be fair and balanced and critical when needed of all branches of Judaism.
Good journalism should never be measured by how many readers will be pleased with a story. It seems to me that my fellow observant readers should either develop a thicker skin or read another Jewish weekly, one that believes the Orthodox never cheat, steal or abuse their children. I for one will continue to read and enjoy The Jewish Week.
