Many thanks to Gary Rosenblatt for his column for his column, “New York Times’ Parallels Are Forced, And False” (July 18).
We have long subscribed to The New York Times — until this week. We canceled our subscription for the reasons cited. We no longer want to read an article about Israel in which facts will be misrepresented, photos misaligned with storyline, parallels between Israel and Palestinians forced and false — as Rosenblatt notes, and in which Israel is inevitably the culprit. Seeing our perspective in journalistic print was validating personally, but also an important statement for the public arena.
Unfortunately, our communal capacity for outrage has markedly dwindled. Cancelled subscriptions are one way to express that.
