As a psychiatrist who has worked with individuals suffering with addictive disorders, I find the 12-Step approach heavily relevant vis a vis the current war in Gaza.
One of the primary interventions in supporting sobriety is to work with families to evaluate any behavior that has unwittingly served to enable and promote the addictive dysfunctionality. It is tragic that the Israeli government has not appreciated the wisdom of this approach.
Why are they sending thousands of tons of cement, free water, electric and gas to an entity whose sole, express purpose is the destruction of Israel? Gaza currently owes the State of Israel over half a billion dollars and has been able to use all their resources, courtesy of Israel, on the build-up of their destructive enterprise. Time for Bibi to attend an Al-anon meeting as soon as possible.
