Regarding Gary Rosenblatt’s Sept. 12 column, “Israel Land Grab, More Than Bad Timing,” I am not one those supporters who cringed upon hearing [of Israel’s claim on nearly 1,000 acres of land in the West Bank], I was delirious with joy.
Finally, the Netanyahu government has stood up to the world, and shown what they are made of. This area is known as Judea and Samaria, not the West Bank, and Mr. Rosenblatt should well know, that it has never belonged to the Palestinians. Shame on you Mr. Rosenblatt, for worrying about what the world and media will say.
Israel is damned if they do and damned if they don’t. If they defend themselves against rockets, they are targets of the world’s wrath, and if they do not, they are in harm’s way. So I say kudos to Mr. Netanyahu for showing the moxie to do the right thing.
I am really disappointed in you, Mr. Rosenblatt, and The Jewish Week, and for that reason, when my subscription runs out at the end of the month I am not renewing.
