Regarding “Defending Dershowitz, To A Fault?” (Jan. 16), I have known Alan Dershowitz for many years. Although we disagree on some fundamental Israel issues, Dershowitz is surely a sincere, passionate, and heartfelt Zionist who loves Israel. There is no more outspoken and eloquent advocate for Israel’s security.
When he spoke at ZOA’s recent dinner, he brought the house down with his pro-Israel oratory. His introducing Republican Sen. Ted Cruz at our gala dinner spoke volumes about his open-mindedness. On a personal level I feel certain that the bizarre charges against him are false and he will prove that when he is given the opportunity to do so.
