Thank you for a very eloquent Editorial, “The First Genocide: A Century Later” (April 24), on the Armenian genocide. It is sad that politics have influenced recognition of this tragic event and has denied the healing process that such recognition would provide to the descendants even 100 years later.
We should all do everything possible to ensure this recognition, especially by our government. We should never forget, or risk that such atrocities may and can happen again.
