If I may suggest two other kosher food availability alternatives, which are both significantly closer and [require] less-expensive travel (no bridge tolls) for the kosher consumer in Rhinebeck and the surrounding area, rather than having to travel even further to NYC or Monsey, as reported in “Rhinebeck Gets A Shul Of Its Own” (July 3).
The first is north, in Albany (a 75-minute drive), at the Price Chopper Supermarket on Central Avenue, which features a kosher section.
The second is south, also about 75 minutes away, in Stamford, Conn. There are several kosher restaurants and other places to buy kosher food. A website of kosher options in Stamford is www.skaconline.com.
